Silo Fam NIC made a little iphone 4 wallpaper w/ the silo crest and I thought I’d share it with you all:

Incase is currently working on some impressive products for the iphone 4, so be on the lookout for some next level design to match your kit.

(if you do not have the new iphone, you should be able to tweak this or even use it as-is on old iphones and ipod touch as well!)

Go skateboarding day contest and barbecue was a complete success! Thank you to everyone who turned out for a sun filled hot and sweaty time. I snapped a few random shots throughout the afternoon and here’s a bit of a recap:

Many attended, but few were brave enough to enter…We voted on (and I was vetoed) on the mini ramp jam- so we turned it into a best trick contest on the big side.

Probably the longest 20 minutes ever to those giving it their all!

When time was called the Jam went to Tyler, who kickflipped over the launch, had a massive first try frontside ollie over the pyramid, feeble on the vert wall, 360° off the launch, and to top it off an ally-oop backside ollie over the entire pyramid to flat. HUUUGE, and at the buzzer…ALL on a borrowed board, so he needed and deserved this Habitat deck! I also think he bled the most throughout the contest.

Second went to Jonny, with some consistent runs and most notable a fat backside flip on the pyramid.

Next up we grill up some grub. Moreno clan brought a massive grill and the silo familia waited patiently to stuff our faces.

While Amo was over the coals grilling up burgers and dogs, some passed the time by trying to hydrate this bat- gives me the creeps!

After relaxing in the shade for a bit we organized some solid brackets for a big game of s-k-a-t-e- A lot of great tricks went down, and if you cant tell by the above photo who won:

Aaron only missed maybe 5 tricks out of all of his matches COMBINED. He is always extremely humble and helped out so much to make the day a success, it was an honor to hand him his free pair of HABITAT IBEX shoes. Thank you brother!

After all was said and done we still had some gear to give away, so we had a couple quick jams on the box. Jonny won with a long back tail shove-it out (seen here) and a fakie ollie switch front nose that was butter, among a slew of nosegrinds and smiths.

Tyson w/ a 25mph lipslide…he may have even been trying a smith and missed…

Adrian with smooth frontside and backside 50-50′s….He surprised me all day long with a solid bag of tricks, especially in s-k-a-t-e.

Dylan the sweat machine would pop in every now and again with a smooth groove of tailslides.

Last but not least Cale threw down about 40 attempts at this smith grind to frontside bigspin out. He slid out on this one and I left before he rolled away clean, but Aaron had a habitat tee to give him if he stuck it. I guess ill find out if I see him wearing his prize!

We are keeping it simple for Monday, June 21st (NATIONAL GO SKATEBOARDING DAY). Habitat Footwear was gracious enough to help us out with some product and we want to give it away as soon as possible!

Jam Format mini ramp contest on the 4ft spine at Pier Park skatepark, lets say around 4pm? Depending on how many people show up we will do a couple quick qualifiers, or just have one big 30 min Jam contest. Best run wins a pair of Habitat shoes, 2nd place a deck, and so forth. If i can get it together between now and then I’d like to do a bit of a barbecue for everyone, but no promises yet!

If anyone has ideas, wants to bring a boombox, or really loves to grill out hit me up!
